Jacaranda is a tree, native to Brazil, and grown for the showy flowers and decorative seed pods they produce. The trees have finely cut, fernlike leaves and large clusters of attractive flowers. The seed capsules are often used in dried flower arrangements. The wood is used for general carpentry work in tropical climates where Jacaranda is extensively grown.
