|I have 150 feet of chainlink fence around my back yard. I am looking for a hedge or vine that I can plant to gain privacy. I would prefer fairly low maintenance plant that grow reasonably quick. We have hot and dry summers!

|Have you considered honeysuckle? You can train young plants along the fence and then keep them pinched or cut back to make them grow thickly and bloom profusely. Another possibility is bougainvillea. Either of these plants will provide an evergreen, blooming cover for your chainlink fence, and both are relatively maintenance-free once established.
