How and when do you prune roses?

Roses come in such varied shapes, growth and blossom habits that it is hard to keep track of how to prune them! The link below explains in simple terms how to prune these various roses. Unfortunatly, I wasn't able to track down any diagrams for you to view. If you like roses, and think you may be growing more of them in the future, I recommend a good, basic text on rose care.
