| I planted tulips in early October and they are already growing now in the Winter. Should I cut the stems back so they will grow in the Spring or will they even grow? What should I do? |
| These plants can tolerate very cold weather, and once they have started growing you can't stop them, so the best you can do is try to be patient and hope they will be okay. The cold may make the early foliage look shabby but it should not damage the flowers as long as the buds are still underground. About all you can do is mulch around but not overtop of them and hope the weather turns cold and stays that way until spring! |
