I would like to know if Alyssum will grow in Oklahoma as well as Forget me nots? If so when can I plant them? I am trying to find plants that are mostly shade and partial shade. There is not much sun on my home. Thank you.

Alyssum and Forget-Me-Nots are both early spring flowering annuals. If you cut back the spent flowers, they usually produce a second flush of bloom. But, if you allow the flowers to stay on the plants, they'll develop seeds which will grow into new plants the following spring.

You can sow seeds for these plants in early March. Other plants for you to consider are lobelia and pansies - they like shady conditions, too.
