| There is a roach, or what appears to be a roach, that has taken up residence in my mother-in-laws tongue. I have caught a glimpse of him a few times, and I can often hear him munching on the plant, but because the plant is so full and the leaves are so sturdy, the little guy has dived under the soil by the time I get the leaves parted to get a look at what is going on. He is definitely eating on the plant, but so far it looks like he is just eating the stems that are already dead. Is he a potential threat, and do I need to get some insect killer for the plant? Or is he pretty benign and can be left alone? |
| Roaches generally feed on decaying matter so chances are he's not harming the plant. If you really want to get rid of him, you can set out a trap of a tall jar with the insides coated with petroleum jelly and a piece of bread in the bottom. He can get in but won't be able to get out. You can then dispose of him. |
