I'd like to have cut flowers all summer. I planted cosmos last year and was pleased, but I would like to have a variety of flowers.

If you're gardening in a sunny spot, you can grow the following for cutting: snapdragon, marigold, China aster, cornflower, larkspur, dianthus, lisianthus, strawflower, sweet pea, lavatera, stock, phlox, scabiosa and zinnia. You might also try dahlia, delphinium, campanula, aster, ranunculus and liatris.

With such a variety you'll have flowers from spring until autumn. Enjoy!
