|I asked this question several weeks ago but did not get an answer.
I have grown dill for several years and am only aware of one kind that grows during the summer and begins to wither when the weather becomes cool; However I saw some very healthy, bushy dill with thick stems. It did not go to seed and was flourishing well beyond the first frost It was in a community garden area and seemed to grow wild. Can you tell me what kind it is?
|I suspect what you saw was some type of fennel. Some fennel is distinctly bulbed and some types are much less so. The plants look very similar to dill and are very vigorous -- they will also self seed.
I'm sorry you didn't receive an answer earlier. Perhaps there was a typo in your email address in which case the answer would not have gone through correctly.
