Is it possible to have an amaryllis have two flowering stems? I have it growing in my office at work and the first flower stem was about 2in. high, when another one started. The first stem is about 8 in. taller than the second. I am absolutely positive it is not a leaf.

In a word, yes. Occasionally you will even see three from a very healthy large bulb. Enjoy!
