I just purchased a "capella arboricola" that was losing some of its leaves. Not a lot but noticable. In trying to revive it I've used miracle grow plant food lots of sun and tlc. It still seems to be losing alot of leaves. Is there any special care or treatment that I could use?

Unfortunately I am not familiar with a plant called capella and the only reference I can find to a houseplant with the name arboricola is to the dwarf schefflera. This plant needs bright to high light, should be allowed to dry so that the soil is dry about a half an inch down between waterings, and should be fertilized with a water soluble houseplant fertilizer according to the label instructions about every two or three months. Common reasons for it to defoliate would be over or under watering and most commonly, lack of humidity. You could try using a humidifier, grouping plants together, or setting the pot on a pebble and water tray to try to increase the humidity level.
