My six-month old Allamanda vines that are planted in containers have recently begun to drop their leaves after first yellowing. What can be causing this?

Allamanda or Golden Trumpet is a vigorous vine growing to 60 inches. It is known for its huge yellow flowers which usually appear in early fall. Its disadvantage is that it takes a lot of space and needs a large container. Give full sun and plenty of water during summer. Give it a rest in winter, keeping it barely moist. In the spring cut it back to 6 inches, repot, and provide ample water and sun.

Remember that although this plant likes moist soil, it should not be allowed to sit in water. Your dropping leaves are likely a moisture problem.

Hi, I have the same problem with my allamanda wine... Buds are falling off after 3-4 flowers blooming after planting. But the growth of the wine is too good.. I am worried about the buds now...
