Is the evergreen tree Canadian Hemlock toxic to goats if they eat the leaves or bark? I would like to enlarge my goat pen around this Canadian hemlock tree and it is too big to transplant. |
Although Poison Hemlock (Conium maculatum) is certainly toxic to goats and other animals, I am unable to find a reference to the tree (Tsuga canadensis) being particularly toxic to goats. I would strongly suggest you confirm this with your veterinarian, however. You might also want to take steps to protect the tree from any potential damage caused by the goats. |
