Consider coreopsis, yarrow, lavender, catmint, gaillardia, sunflowers, tithonia, zinnia, cosmos, black-eyed Susan, coneflower, lisianthus, and larkspur. For bulbs, try bearded iris, gayfeather (liatris), and glads.
