|Can you please let me know how cold weather affects the scabiosa. Sometimes our nights here can get down in the high teens to 20s, although not for an extended period of time. Normally our days are above freezing. Thank you for your response in advance. I am impressed with your website.
|Scabiosa is quite tolerant of cold weather and any foliage that's damaged by frost can be cut away from the plants without harm. Even small seedlings can withstand frost. You can sow seeds outdoors in early autumn or early spring, or set plants out when garden soil is stll cold and a frost is possible.
