My butterfly bushes are still a little green because we have had such a warm winter, do I still prune them in the spring or how do I take care of them now?

Your butterfly bush (Buddleia davidii) should be cut back in the very early spring. Cut it down to about 6-10". I like to do this on St. Patrick's Day (it's the right time of year for your area and, it's easy to remember!). These shrubs bloom on new wood, so pruning in this fashion you will get a shrub with lush, full, flower spikes.
