|I grew birdhouse gourds a year ago. They are now completely dried and I wiped them off with Chlorox water. How do I go about preparing them for use outside as birdhouses?|
|You'll need to use a saw to cut or drill a hole to take the seeds out and allow the birds to enter the gourd (one-inch for small birds, two or two-and-a-half inches|
for larger birds). Also drill one or two holes on the bottom for
drainage and two more holes in the top so you can string through some
wire for a hanger. Some people add a protective coating to the gourds as well.
