| I have a bed in the front of my house which faces west. it currently holds a camellia bush but needs more color. The bed is protected by an overhang and really does not get much sun. Do you have some suggestions as to shade loving bulbs that would make this area a bit more lively? |
| Probably a first choice for the area is Fancy Leaf Caladium. These plants grow from bulbs and have colorful foliage to brighten a shady area. More traditional seasonal bulbs include amaryllis, lily, clivia miniata, endymion, leucojum (snowflake) and ipheion uniflorum (spring star flower). Hope your flower bed fairly bursts with color this season! |
