Brugmansia is a tender plant, native to Peru and Brazil. It does well as a conservatory plant that is summered outdoors, or it can be planted in the ground outdoors and treated like an annual. It prefers sun and rich moist soil; since it is a heat lover it should not be planted in the ground until the soil has warmed, and it may take several months before it begins to bloom for you. It will then continue to bloom until frost.
If you plan to keep your Angel's Trumpet from year to year, bring it indoors over the winter months to
protect it from the weather. Indoors, give it lots of bright
light, average household temperatures, and keep the soil
moist. It will continue to grow throughout the winter months if
given the right conditions.
