When I plant radishes I usually get all leaf and no radish. Based on what I've read my ph is probably too high. What is the ideal ph for radishes and how do I lower the ph?

Radish is fairly accommodating in terms of pH with a range of about 6.0 to 8.0 being acceptable. The most common causes for all leaf and no "radish" are overcrowding, planting too late so that temperatures are too high, and/or too much shade. Radishes grow best in cool soil and cool weather and, like beets and carrots, can be seeded in the garden about five weeks before the last expected frost.
