My step-mother gave me some hollyhock seeds and I was wondering if they will grow up a trellis.

Hollyhocks can get very tall, 6-7 feet, but they aren't "climbers" that will wrap themselves around a support, like a vine. They would grow up against the trellis as a backdrop and you could tie them to it to keep them in place. Most of them will stand upright if they aren't in strong winds. Thanks for writing!
