|My fiance discarded his pech pit into my window (southern exposure) box herb garden and grew into spring and summer. Then, as we were moving to a new house I took it out and planted it into the only thing handy, a glass container, kind of small and kept it in a west window over winter. It had leaf and limb although it looked like it was bonsai and leaf curl abnormal. I transplanted it that spring and it grew well, the abnormal growth dropped off. It survived the winter. Now Ithink I should maybe prune and see about having it grafted unto adwarf stock. Can you advise me on pruning i n the open vase style? This tree wants to grow! However it has two good branches on one side only and a good central leader. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have a good book from the library, Fruit and berries for the bak yard. But additional advise is needed. Thanks so much.
