| I planted Holly bushes last fall, and they were looking wonderful until this winter came and the deer had nothing else to eat. All the leaves on the shrubs are gone, except for a few that must have been to difficult for the deer to get to. Will these leaves grow back or did the deer do the ultimate damage to them? |
| If the trees had become well established before winter, and the roots are healthy, there is a good chance they will come back even denser than they were before. You might want to take steps to stop the deer browse, however , since unfortunately they are creatures of habit and will feed repeatedly on the same plants which could ultimately cause the plants to give up and die or at least keep them looking pretty shabby. |
