|I purchased "King Alfred" daffodils last fall and planted them 6 inches deep, as my gardening book told me. I've read that you recommend 3-4 inches. The daffordils in one section of my garden(about 8 plants) are midget sized (about 8 in. tall) with midget sized blooms. The daffodils in other sections are fine. I fertilized them all this spring. What could have made them soooo tiny???
|Somehow, I suspect they were mislabeled or got mixed up somewhere along the line. There are a number of daffodils that look like miniature King Alfreds. Luckily, daffodils can be transplanted if you need to do that.
