|I am interested in using Gerbera Daisies as part of my landscaping. First of all, can you tell me if they are annuals or perennials? Second, do they spread? I don't want to purchase to many of them if they spread like regular daisies do.

|Gerbera Daisies are grown as annuals in cold climates such as yours. They require an evenly moist yet very well drained soil with plenty of humus in it and they do not do well in hot summers. They will bloom off and on through the season but they are very difficult to grow wel. Finally, they do not spread the way daisies do but instead stay in a tight crown.
