Preventive spray routines are usually developed on a case by case basis depending on the specific variety of tree you have and its susceptibilities or tolerances, the local incidences of pests and diseases, and the weather in a given year. You might wish to contact your local county extension (451-2800) for their most current recommendations and the suggested timing for sprays in your area.

In addition, your tree will produce better in a full sun location with good soil and adequate moisture. You might also run some basic soil tests and make sure that the fertility levels are what they should be for your tree. Your extension should also be able to help you with the tests and interpreting the results.
