This type of euonymous is very low maintenance plant. It will thrive in sun or shade and needs average soil and moisture. A new plant should be watered regularly for the entire first season as needed to maintain a moist yet not soggy soil. After that it will need watering in dry spells for the next few seasons. When well established, it is considered drought tolerant. A few inches of organic mulch around the plant, but not touching the stem, will help keep down weeds and maintain soil moisture levels. Apply a top dressing of compost or complete fertilizer according to the label instructions each spring. The plant can be trimmed as needed or left untrimmed. Enjoy!
