I planted Kandy Corn June 10th and I noticed the silk the 14th of August. The ears aren't that big yet. I just wondered how long does it take for the ear to fully develop?

Hi James -- according to the Burpee website, Kandy Korn takes about 89 days from planting to harvest, so your ears should be maturing around Sept. 10th or so. But there are a lot of factors that can affect the timing, so if they aren't ready yet by then just keep checking!

The ears of corn will not be ripe until the silks start to wilt and the ear feels full all the way to the top.
