I don't know a thing about hollies and need some advice. The tree growing in my yard in about 12" tall, glossy green leaves, red berries. The branches are not very dense. It appears quite healthy, other than the fact that it is tall and spindly looking. I've used hollytone on it faithfully for 2 seasons, but
it just doesn't appear to be "filling out". What should I be doing to help it become fuller, or is it supposed to be this bare? Thanks for your help.

Without knowing what type of holly you have, it is difficult to guess if it is growing as would be expected, or not. Some varieties of holly are naturally denser growing than others, and hollies in partial shade will be thinner than hollies in full sun. Hollies that have been sheared as shrubs will generally be denser than hollies left to grow in their own way to become trees.
