My crape myrtle is planted in my lawn and has a southwest exposure. Very few of the branches have sprouted leaves. Why is that? I've had my tree for 10 years.

Usually lack of foliage and bloom occurs with cold damage or lack of available phosphorus. Sometimes, when fertilzing lawns, fertilizer spreaders drop more than the desired amount in one spot. It could be that the crape myrtle got an overdose of fertilizer which might have stressed it to the point where it couldn't develop leaves. Wish I could offer something more helpful!
