| Purple passion (Gynura aurantiaca) does best in bright to medium light and normal to cool temperatures. It should be well watered so that the soil is drenched, then allowed to dry out so that the soil surface is quite dry before being watered again. One common reason for yellowing from the base is overwatering, so you might make sure that you are following a drench and let dry routine. Also, be sure the plant pot does not sit in water that has drained out the holes and into the saucer -- empty that out after watering. Finally, make sure the plant is in adequate light, out of drafts both hot and cold, and that it is fertilized with a water soluble fertilizer for foliage plants according to the label instructions. |
