I planted my potatoes (Red Pontiac) over a week ago but none has come up yet. I had to store them for a little while since it was too cold. I stored them in my refrigerator. When should they sprout? Was I not supposed to store them in a refrigerator? |
Potatoes should be stored at a cool temperature (40 to 50 degrees) rather than in the refrigerator, but they should not have been damaged unless frozen or dried out. Potatoes will normally take several weeks to sprout and pop through the soil, longer if not presprouted, so you will probably need to wait a little longer. |
