We have two crape myrtles (not the dwarf type) planted right outside our bay window (about one foot from the house). They are about three years old and are blooming well in this location. The trees are about ten or eleven feet tall. My concern is the roots. Will these roots damage our foundation? Should we cut these trees down? It is probably too late in the year to relocate these trees but I don't need foundation problems, either.

That is really close to the house. They may be a bit of a threat to the foundation, but just how significant of a threat is hard to say for sure. However, I would consider them a threat to the siding and eaves too.

Wait until this November and move the out to at least 6 feet away from the house foundation. Fall is a great time to transplant shrubs like crape myrtles.
