I have a peace lilly and every once and a while the leaves turn brown, is this due to the way I am watering it? Or is it from something else.

Peace lily may brown if allowed to dry out, or it may brown if overwatered, so the secret is to keep the soil evenly moist yet not sopping wet. Try, too, for a humid atmosphere; dry air indoors, especially during the winter heating season but also during the airconditioning season can also cause some browning. Finally, direct sun can cause browning if it is too strong, so try for bright but indirect light.
