Please tell me how to get my wisteria plant to flower. It is about 8 years old and is all leaves, never flowered yet. Last year we dramatically pruned it back and even took a shovel around the roots and deep cut into the extended root area. It is just leaves again. I'd appreciate any solutions you may have. |
Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do to hurry a wisteria along. Some of them take up to twenty years, but an average would be around eight so you are probably getting close. Root pruning and heavy pruning are often suggested to try to encourage the vine to bloom, but in my experience it will bloom whenever it is ready and not before. |
