|I believe that I just had a tomato plant die from bacterial wilt. One day it was fine, the next day it had completely wilted, even though the entire plant is still nice and green. Are there any tomato varieties that are resistant to bacterial wilt?|
|Plants with bacterial wilt usually wilt in the afternoon, and by morning recover, and this cycle continues until an entire side or stalk of the plant has wilted. Yellowing seldom occurs -- leaves and stalks just wilt and curl up. If
you open a stem, it'll be filled with oozing slime (yuk!).
Burpee doesn't carry tomato varieties specifically resistant to bacterial wilt, though several of their varieties are resistant to the various fungal wilts.
