My wife recieved a potted stargazer lily for Mothers day. The blooms only lasted a week, I need to know if I can plant it outside and how to go about it. The plant is healthy except for the blooms dropping. Is it an outside or inside plant?

Once your Stargazer lily is finished blooming, cut off the flower stalk, and place the plant in the brightest window indoors until the weather is warm enough to plant outdoors. Keep the plant well watered and begin fertilizing with a complete fertilizer monthly. By June, plant it outdoors in a sunny flower bed as you would a normal lily and it should be fine. Keep the soil moist. The lily may even flower again this summer. More likely it will dieback and come out next summer when all the other lilies grow and bloom.
