|My Mother-in-law bought me a beautiful fuschia colored
rhododendron the other day. The tag on it didn't specify whether it should be planted in full sun, part shade, etc.
Could you please tell me?
|The color of a rhododendron flower is no indication of its preference for sun or shade, so I can't make an absolute recommendation. If you can find a similar plant in a nursery, and let us know the name of the plant, we can research it for you. Most rhodies grow quite happily in partly shady conditions, so until you find out for sure about yours, you might want to provide some shade from the hottest afternoon sun. If it stops blooming, it probably needs more sun. Hope this provides at least a temporary solution to your dilema!|
