I have bought some Japanese Ardisia (Ardisia Japonica) and I would like to know if they spread and multiply or if they just stay as one plant.

Ardisia japonica is commonly called marlberry. It's a spreading, low-growing evergreen groundcover, growing best in rich, moist soil in full shade to part sun. Ardisia spreads through rhizomes (thickened underground roots). Expect the plants to grow 6-18 inches high and sport white flowers followed by red berries.

Ardisia is hardy in USDA zones 8-10; Sunset zones 5, 6, 15-17, 28-31.
