my onions are doing fine.is it ok to snip off the tips where the seed heads are forming? thank yoy very much--ray

Unfortunately, once an onion flowers, you should harvest and use it as
soon as possible. If left to grow, the bulb gets tough, thin
and off-flavor. Sometimes onions will flower due to fluctuating temperatures, or perhaps because they were planted at the wrong time for that particular type of onion.
