Do you have any products or method of treatment that I can use to get rid of scale on my ficus tree? Please help--I've already lost one plant!

If the problem is truly severe it may be a good idea to isolate the infested plant so it will not spread to others, and sometimes it is better in the long run to dispose of the plant. To battle scale, start by scraping off the ones you can see, checking leaves, twigs and trunk, then spray with insecticidal soap according to the label instructions. Note that the soap is only effective on scale when it is in the softer crawling stage.
