|The stem and tips of my jade plant turned red when I used a 2-7-7 plant food.
A previous Q&A said that the redness is stress. Should I stop feeding it?
|In my experience jade plants are not terribly heavy feeders, but a more evenly proportioned plant food might be slightly more appropriate so you might select a fertilizer formulated for foliage plants. Do be sure to follow the lable instructions so that you are not overfertilizing. Some plant will show reddening of the foliage as a sign or stress or even certain nutrient deficiency, but in jade plants there is often reddening such as you described in response to the increased sunlight we experience in the summer time. So I suspect what you are seeing is actually quite normal.|
