hi! i recently purchased a ver attractive plant that was on sale. However, I don't know what it is! there was no label or marker, and none of the store employees seemed to know what it is. Hopefully, you will be able to give me some ideas!
The plant is 1 1/2 feet tall. It has long stems like a purple coneflower, and the leaves at the are like that of a coneflower too, but slightly serrated. Once they get closer to the top of the plant, they get smaller, and darker (with a hinge of purple), and look more like the leaves of an impatient. the blossoms are trumpet style, with a pretty lavender color. They are only at the top.
Hope this description helps!

I am taking a wild guess; maybe you have one of the named varieties of penstemon.
