A very heavy rain has broken almost all of the blossoms from my zucchini plants-- will new flowers grow? |
It's early enough in the growing season that your plants should recover and produce new flowers. Zucchini fruits grow fairly quickly in warm weather with ample water, so I suspect you'll have a bumper crop throughout July and August. If you want to prevent this problem in the future, you can construct a frame around the plants and cover the frame with fabric row cover to break the force of the rain. |
