I am looking for an herb used in Latin American cooking called long leaf coriander. It's Spanish name is "recado" or "recaito". Any suggestions where I might find it? Thank you. |
Richters Herbs offers corianders (Coriandrum sativum) including the new variety called Santo, which are described as being used in both Chinese and Latin American cuisine. However, they also offer a "Mexican Coriander" (Eryngium foetidum) which might be what you are looking for -- it is the recao listed as an ingredient (along with but in addition to cilantro) in recaito recipes.
