Would it be possible to grow an olive tree in Maryland, specifically Baltimore? My yard gets at least 8 hours of sun a day, but I'm worried that the winters may be too cold. Would you recommend a specific type? Thanks.

Olive trees can survive temperatures down to 15F, so probably wouldn't grow well in your Baltimore garden. The trees are widely adapted to the Southwest, where they grow to about 25' high. Maybe there's another tree you'd like to grow in your sunny garden?
