Blossoms Dropping On Tomatoes - Knowledgebase Question

Most of the blossoms have dropped off my French Rose Tomato, only a very few fruits have set. None of my other tomato varieties (supersweet 100, Burpee experimental 2000, bloody butcher, and bush big boy) have experienced this problem; they are performing beautifully. I use Oscomote slow release fertilizer, bone meal and epsom salts on all plants. I am also watering about an inch per week. Is the excessive dropping of blossoms expected in the French Rose variety? If not, do you have any suggestions on increasing the fruit yield?

Although I have no personal experience with that particular variety, it is quite possible that it is more sensitive to the various environmental factors that can cause blossom drop. These would include hot or cold nights (or days), excess rain, overly dry or windy conditions, and so on. This might help explain why it is not more widely grown.
