EACH OF MY ZUCCINI PLANTS WERE ALL GIVING MANY BLOOMS AND FRUIT STARTED TO GROW. I HAVE BEEN USING MIRACLE GROW EVERY TEN DAYS; HOWEVER, THE TIPS OF THE FRUIT BECAME MUSHY. ANY ADVICE ON WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY PLANTS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
THANKS, JIM C.
|Sounds as though blossom-end rot is taking its toll on your
squash. This condition is caused by wide fluctuations between
wet and dry soil. To prevent the problem, water deeply but less often as needed to keep the soil evenly moist and apply a thick mulch over the soil surface to keep evaporation
at a minimum. Hope correcting the problem results in a
bumper crop of squash for you
