The ends of my tomato plants are curling and turning a dark green color and fail to flower etc. These are bushes that are 3 to 4 feet high. |
The dark green color and failure to flower indicate a possible nitrogen overdoses. Too much nitrogen fertilizer can cause lots of lush growth at the expense of flowers. I suggest you cease fertilizing, or use only a low nitrogen type, and see if this helps. The leaf curling can be a natural growth pattern, or can sometimes indicate a problem with aphids and/or virus. However, if the plants are growing well I suspect it's just the natural growth. Examine the undersides of the curled leaves for signs of insects just to be sure. |
