My tomato plants are very large and healthy. Many flowers, but few fruit. The Early Girl variety is doing OK, but Mortgage Lifter, Super Tasty, Beef Steak and Brandy Wine have VERY few tomatoes. Can you offer any advice on this problem?

If the plants are blooming but not setting fruit it may be due to blossom drop. This can happen for a number of reasons such as cold nights, warm nights, cold days, hot days, windy or rainy or dry weather or even simply lack of pollination. Some varieties are more sensitive than others to the encironemental conditions. It sounds like your plants are healthy, so it may be that patience is in order. If you suspect a pollination problem you can shake the plants once a day or so and see if that helps.
