I planted Emerald Green 5-6' arborvities about three weeks ago. I used peat moss and bone meal in each hole and planted about 30" apart. I am concerned that some of the trees are turning yellow or brown on small parts.

Unfortunately, based on your description it is impossible to tell what the problem is; the shrubs are susceptible to insects and diseases that could cause browning, but on the other hand it could be due for example to over or under watering, transplant shock, or even some minor damage that occurred when moving and planting them. You might want to consult with the nursery where you bought the plants or with your county extension (285-4630) for a more precise diagnosis and suggested remedy. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
